An International Open-Access Peer-Reviewed Journal
Editor-in-Chief’s Welcome Letter
Inaugural Issue: Engineering a Resilient Future for Global Tourism
Journal: JETET [ISSN: 2979-1995]
Date: April 22, 2026
To the Global Engineering and Environmental Community,
It is with great pride that I introduce the inaugural issue of the Journal of Engineering-Themed Environmental Tourism (JETET)
JETET , is a Diamond Open Access Journal. We do not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) to authors , nor do we charge subscription fees to readers.
As we launch this quarterly serial, the intersection of engineering and sustainable tourism has reached a critical juncture. From the vulnerability of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to the logistical strain of overtourism on heritage coastal sites, the challenges we face require more than just policy, they require rigorous, data-driven engineering interventions.
Faith Conglomerate Limited , has established JETET to be the premier platform for these solutions. Our mission is to move beyond the theoretical and provide a peer-reviewed space for "Validators", the practitioners and academics who are physically shaping the resilience of our global landscapes.
In this first volume, we lay the groundwork for our three core research pillars:
1. Environmental Overtourism Infrastructure: Managing the structural strain on natural assets.
2. Adaptive Reuse Tourism: Engineering new life into maritime and industrial heritage.
3. Harsh Climes Engineering:Developing materials and designs capable of withstanding extreme maritime and high-salinity environments.
I invite you to explore our research, engage with our findings, and contribute to the upcoming discourse. As an open-access journal, we are committed to the democratization of technical knowledge, ensuring that our collective expertise is accessible to those on the front lines of environmental change.
Welcome to the first chapter of JETET.
Sincerely,
Gbemisola Agbaje

CALL FOR PAPERS (Vol 1 , Issue 2 - September 2026)
As global travel infrastructure faces unprecedented environmental and structural pressures, JETET provides a platform for data-driven engineering solutions. We are currently seeking technical articles, case studies, and field reports focusing on four critical pillars:
Environmental Challenges of Overtourism: Managing infrastructure strain and ecological mitigation in high-density zones.
Reuse Tourism: Engineering the adaptive reuse of maritime and industrial heritage sites.
Harsh Climes Tourism: Infrastructure resilience in extreme environments (High-salinity, Arid, and Arctic zones).
Space Tourism and Astro-Engineering: Sustainability, Remediation and Economy
Submit Your Research
JETET is currently accepting abstracts for Volume 1 , Issue 2 ( September 2026)
Abstract deadline: June 15 , 2026

NEWS
JETET ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC EXPANSION INTO SPACE TOURISM AND ASTRO - ENGINEERING
LONDON, April 2026 – The Journal of Engineering-Themed Environmental Tourism (JETET) is proud to announce a formal expansion of its editorial mission and scope. Effective immediately, the ETET™ (Engineering-Themed Environmental Tourism) framework, originally developed to address terrestrial industrial blight and SIDS logistics, will now encompass the nascent sectors of Space Tourism and Astro-Engineering.
As commercial space flight becomes a viable pillar of the global tourism economy, the engineering challenges of orbital debris mitigation and sustainable extraterrestrial habitat design have become paramount. JETET is positioned as the definitive technical resource for these challenges, advocating for:
Astro-Environmental Remediation: Engineering protocols for managing "orbital blight" and space debris.
Resilient Infrastructure: Structural validation for sustainable lunar and orbital tourism habitats.
Economic Continuity: Ensuring space tourism models complement and support terrestrial environmental preservation.
"The expansion into Astro-Engineering is a mechanical necessity. We are applying the same rigor used to remediate brownfields on Earth to the preservation of our orbital environment, ensuring the future of space travel is built on a foundation of engineering sustainability." - Editorial Office, JETET
